The governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal has not forgotten Nyesom Wike's reaction to his stepping down for the presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.
Recall that Nyesom Wike, the first runner up in the PDP's presidential primary election, in a reaction to his losing the presidential ticket of his party to Atiku, described his hitherto friend, Aminu Tambuwal as a betrayal. . Wike and Tambuwal relationship went sour when Tambuwal decided to step down for Atiku Abubakar at the PDP presidential primary election; an act which resulted in the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as the party's presidential candidate.
Interestingly, as the presidential election has been concluded, governor Tambuwal in a statement, reminded governor Nyesom Wike of his infamous role in the defeat of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi whom he called Wike's brother, at the just concluded presidential election.
Governor Tambuwal appealed to Wike to be cognizant of the fact that he betrayed Peter Obi for Bola Ahmed Tinubu whom he said is a sick old man. He thereafter informed Wike to be mindful of the fact that he is the worst betrayal; should know that betrayal has become his new identity.
"Wike Is Worse Betrayer Than Me. Nyesom Wike called me a betrayer for openly stepping down for my brother, Atiku Abubakar in PDP presidential primary election.
"But, Nyesom Wike secretly betrayed his own brother, Peter Obi for a sick old man, Bola Tinubu in 2023".
