Obidents have been congratulated by former Director General of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Organisation, Doyin Okupe. This comes after Alex Otti emerged winner of Abia State governorship election. Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Wednesday declared Otti winner of the poll on Wednesday.

Otti, candidate of the Labour Party, polled 175,467 votes to defeat his closest rival, Okey Ahiwe of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who garnered 88,529 votes. Reacting, Okupe tweeted, “Congratulation Obidients.

“Finally we have received a consolation prize in the victory of Alex Otti in Abuja State. Glory be to the most high God.”

Without free and fair election and the introduction of BVAS this wouldn't have come to pass. One day people will appreciate what Buhari  has done for Nigeria

Introduction of BVAS should be properly monitored to make sure it works according to plan.  Not leaving everything in the hands of the money bag politicians and their thugs to make mess of the whole thing.  Nigeria has not gotten to the stage of trusting elections in the hands of unarmed Police officers, some of whom were also bought over.  Sure if army were involved, the useless thugs would have advised themselves before attacking anyone.
