Man City striker Haaland, who withdrew from the Norway squad during the international break due to a groin injury, is doubtful for the visit of Liverpool, and Guardiola has confirmed that the Premier League's top scorer will be assessed in training on Friday.
Phil Foden, meanwhile, is ruled out for between two and three weeks after undergoing appendix surgery in London last weekend.
After rotating his side in the FA Cup win over Burnley two weeks ago, Guardiola is set to make changes to his starting lineup, with Ederson, John Stones and Nathan Ake among those expected to be recalled.
Captain Ilkay Gundogan could join Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri in centre-midfield, while Julian Alvarez may start up front if Haaland is not deemed fit to feature.

Mohamed Salah has scored in all three of Liverpool's matches against Man City this season in the Premier League, EFL Cup and Community Shield, and the Egyptian is set to continue in attack alongside Cody Gakpo and Nunez.
Diogo Jota will likely make way from the side that lost to Real Madrid just over two weeks ago, with Jordan Henderson expected to form a three-man midfield with Fabinho and either Harvey Elliott or former Man City man James Milner.
