A lady’s marriage is on the verge of collapse as her husband insists that she drops her surname and take up his. This was shared on the micro blogging platform, Twitter, through an anonymous platform. According to the narrator, the married woman had wanted to retain her surname, which began to cause an issue between her and her husband.
She had then suggested adding his to hers, but the man refused, insisting she drops hers and take his surname The narrator wrote:
“My friend’s marriage Is at d verge of collapse due 2 surname issue. She wants 2 retain her surname, but her husband refused. She suggested adding his surname 2 hers 4 peace sake, he still refused, cos he said it’s never done in Igbo land, that he paid her full bride price & she has no right 2 do so”.
