Having been seen limping towards the benches prior to last weekend's win over Tottenham Hotspur, the injury-riddled Thiago Alcantara is now set to the rest of the season as he prepares to undergo surgery on a hip problem - the latest in a long line of setbacks for the 32-year-old.
Stefan Bajcetic (adductor) and Calvin Ramsay (knee) will welcome Thiago to the season-ending injuries club, while Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino are stepping up their returns from muscular problems but are not ready to return just yet. Jordan Henderson has also been sent for scans on an unspecified problem and is a fresh doubt.
Diogo Jota has been able to come off the bench in Liverpool's last two games despite a bruised rib, but the issue prevented him from training fully on Thursday, so an immediate recall should be in order for Cody Gakpo. Andrew Robertson will expect to come in for Kostas Tsimikas at left-back too.
