Current Nigerian sweetheart and chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey popularly known as Hilda Baci on Sunday went to church to thank God for her incredible feat and the support she has enjoyed throughout the journey.
Recall that Hilda Baci recently clocked 100 hours in her quest to surpass Lata Tandon, the Indian current holder of the Guinness World Record for marathon cooking.
Many Nigerians, including President Muhammadu Buhari, President-elect Bola Tinubu, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi have paid tributes to the record-breaker.
Speaking about her meteoric rise to fame, Hilda Baci said that no amount of PR would have been able to pull together the cascade of love she received during her cook-a-thon.
She said, “The grace of God will always be sufficient for me. Because honestly Pastor had preached about grace and had said there are different types of grace, grace for money, favour; I prayed for all-round grace when taking up this attempt.
“Because the truth is a lot of people have talked about being able to afford PR but there is no amount of money that can get the love.”
I’m thankful for the grace of God that saw me through the 100 hours 40 minutes.
