Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, recently opened up about the challenges he faced in 2023, attributing his setbacks to the negative influence of the “wrong people” around him. The rising music star revealed that their energy had a significant impact, causing him to lose touch with himself.
Taking to his Instastory, Ruger candidly shared, “2023, I slacked. I had the wrong people around me and I let them affect my energy. It got to a point that I didn’t feel like Ruger anymore.” The revelation hinted at the toll that external influences can take on an artist’s creativity and personal well-being.
However, Ruger declared a powerful resolution for the new year, expressing his determination to leave the negative influences behind in 2023. Looking ahead to 2024, he vowed to become a “mad, dangerous, selfish, and loving man.”
