Police Arraign Bricklayer, Fatoyebi Kola For Stealing Four Generators

Ekiti police command has arraigned a 32-year-old bricklayer, Fatoyebi Kola, before the Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ado-Ekiti, for allegedly stealing three tiger generators.

It was gathered that the generators valued at N300,000, are the property of one Ajibade Gbenga.

According to Police prosecutor, ASP Celeb Leramo, Kola stole the generator on December 24, 2023 at Orun-Ekiti. The offence committed is punishable under Section 324 (1) and (2) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.

The defendant who had no legal representation, told the court that he was not guilty of the offence. He was subsequently granted bail of N50,000 by Chief Magistrate, Mr Saka Afunso, with one surety.

The case was adjourned till January 8, for hearing.
