A Nigerian waitress, identified as @dblaqgoddess232, has taken to social media to accuse veteran singer Mr May D of refusing to pay an alleged outstanding balance of N11,000 for a meal he purchased back in January.
According to the waitress, she served Mr May D and his friends at the hotel where she works on January 12, 2024, and their bill amounted to N56,000 for food and drinks. However, she claimed that the singer and his friends left for a club that same day and did not return until the next day.
Due to the hotel's policy of completing sales accounts before 10 am each day, the waitress attempted to contact Mr May D for payment using a phone number provided by one of his friends still at the hotel. However, she alleged that Mr May D responded with an offensive reply.
After persistent efforts, the singer reportedly paid N45,000 but left an outstanding balance of N11,000 since January.
In her post, the waitress emphasized that her intention is not to seek attention but to retrieve the unpaid amount. She expressed concern over having to cover the remaining balance from her salary at the end of the month.
The public call-out has sparked reactions online, with many expressing support for the waitress's quest to receive payment for services rendered. Meanwhile, Mr May D is yet to respond to the allegations publicly.
