Ashleigh Robinson, 19, and 16-year-old Holly 'supported and encouraged' the frenzied late-night attack on Mr Robinson in July last year. They were convicted of murder alongside their boyfriends Gordon Harding, 20, and Sacha Roberts, 19, and their mother Joanne Barr, following a month-long trial.
The girls and their boyfriends had hatched a plot to sneak into Mr Robinson's bedroom to extract the contents of his safe.
The court heard earlier that the retired antiques dealer had split from the girls' mother, Joanne Barr, after 25 years living together in December 2009.
The break-up had become increasingly acrimonious and there had been a number of heated arguments over money.
The court heard the two girls believed their mother’s jewellery was in the safe and wanted to get their hands on it but in reality the safe in their father’s bedroom contained £900 in cash.
