The Ogun State Police Command has arrested 35-year-old Dada Taiwo for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend's brother with a broken bottle during an altercation over a phone. The incident was disclosed by the command's spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, in a statement on Sunday, July 21, 2024.
The altercation occurred on the reported date when Olaife Momoh reported to the police that her boyfriend, Dada Taiwo, had stabbed her elder brother. "The dispute arose over a phone her brother had borrowed," Odutola stated. "The suspect, armed with a bottle, stabbed her brother in the neck, causing severe injuries and profuse bleeding."
The victim was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment, while Taiwo was apprehended by the police. The command has assured the public that the suspect will face the full extent of the law for his actions.
