Renowned Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has opened up about her experiences and challenges as a single mother, sharing her journey while celebrating her son Festus Ojo's recent graduation from a Turkish university.
Iyabo, who has been open about her struggles as a divorced parent, took to social media to express her pride and gratitude for her son's achievements. “As a single mother, it hasn’t been easy, but I give God all the glory for our success. From the Riverside City College in California to Altinbas University in Istanbul, Turkey, it can only be God,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
The actress encouraged other single parents to persevere despite the challenges they face. “To every single parent out there who’s been told they can’t make it, we are the true heroes and champions! We’ve proven them wrong, and I’m proud to be among them. We’re the true president general among the nation.”
Iyabo also shared her excitement about the future, expressing her joy at having fulfilled her duties as a mother and looking forward to being an involved grandmother. “Yes! I’ve fulfilled my duty as a great mother, and now it’s time to plan weddings and spoil my future grandchildren silly. To all my fans and loved ones, I say thank you, thank you, thank you,” she added.
Earlier this year, Iyabo Ojo revealed that she is not considering remarriage. The actress disclosed that she and her partner, music executive Paulo Okoye, are not planning to legalize their relationship at this time.
