Garba Adamu, a former presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has accused Ukraine and the CIA of involvement in spreading Russian flags during the EndBadGovernance protest in Nigeria.
Adamu alleged that Ukraine and the CIA collaborated with internal political actors to undermine President Bola Tinubu’s administration. His claims follow reports that some protesters in the North displayed Russian flags during the demonstration, leading to the arrest of a tailor by the Department of State Services (DSS) for allegedly creating the flags.
Adamu suggested that this incident was part of Ukraine's broader strategy to extend its conflict with Russia into Africa. In a post on social media platform X, he stated, “The Russian flags were most likely spread by Ukraine and the CIA with their internal political collaborators to sabotage the government. They have been unmasked and have failed woefully.”
He further warned that Ukraine is attempting to export its war to Africa, citing similar actions in Mali, where he claimed Ukraine collaborated with terrorists against the government.
Adamu called on Nigeria to be vigilant and strategic in navigating the complex political dynamics of the Sahel region, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the nation's interests.
