Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has shared the key to his enduring 21-year marriage, crediting his wife, Hannah, for being the backbone of their relationship.
In an interview with Nollywood Radio, the 64-year-old actor, known for his roles in Wale Adenuga productions such as *Papa Ajasco* and *Super Story*, praised his wife for her unwavering support and ability to navigate the highs and lows of their life together since tying the knot in September 2003.
Solade emphasized that the foundation of their successful marriage is rooted in deep friendship and understanding. "I give it to my wife," he said. "She manages me very well. She’s been very tolerant and perseveres a lot. She sacrifices more than anyone I know and is selfless. She’s God-sent."
The actor described Hannah as a calm and selfless partner, noting that her simplicity and prayerful nature have played a significant role in their happiness. "She understands when I have and when I don’t. She’s not ostentatious, and whatever I give her, she prays for me," Solade added.
Solade also addressed long-standing rumors that he demanded segxwal favors in exchange for movie roles. Denying the allegations, the actor clarified that he has no say in casting decisions and praised his wife for her grace in handling such false accusations. "My wife is a peaceful person. If not, we wouldn’t still be together after 22 years."
The couple, who met on the set of *Super Story*, share two children, Rola and Femi. Solade previously revealed that his first marriage ended when his ex-wife relocated abroad, leaving him to find lasting love with Hannah.
