Chief Priest has made a heartfelt appeal to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio
He shared a video of former Imo state governor Rochas Okorocha speaking at the late Ifeanyi Uba’s night of tribute, where Okorocha called for the release of Nnamdi Kanu.
Okorocha appealed to Akpabio to assist in securing the release of the IPOB leader, suggesting that it would help restore peace in the region and allow the Igbo people to rebuild their communities.
Cubana Chief Priest echoed this sentiment, asserting that the release of Nnamdi Kanu is essential to bring peace back to the South East.
He explained that for nearly five years, they have been unable to return to their hometowns due to the high level of insecurity, which has resulted in significant loss of lives and property.
He urged Akpabio to heed the plea from the Igbo people and facilitate Kanu’s return home, stressing the urgent need to rebuild the South East.
In his words:
“@senator_akpabio, those pleas from Owelle Ndi Igbo are all we ask for our dear in-law. Let OHAMADIKE Ndi Igbo, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, come back home soon. It’s almost five years now, and we all have not had access to our hometown. Only his release can restore peace in our region. We have lost so many lives and properties, and we need to rebuild the South East ASAP. Make una help us.
#FreeNnamdiKanu.”
