A US-based Nigerian lady, Princess Ada, has opined that any man with self-respect would not collect bride price for his daughters during marriage.

According to her Facebook post, it shows that his daughters are not for sale.
 
“No self respecting man that love his daughters should collect any bride price for his daughters. You should send a clear message that your daughters are not for s@le," she wrote.

Isn't that the custom of most states in the east? Does that mean they lack self respect or hungry? This leaves a bad taste. Naturally, it should be a token and not huge amount - just symbolic but I cannot speak for some families.

But when he was slaving/ killing himself to wake up 4am every day to get to  work to provide her shelter, food, cloths and send her to school he get self control then right right
