Nollywood actress Yewande Adekoya has finally addressed the rumors surrounding her divorce, revealing that her separation from her husband, filmmaker Abiodun Ishola, was the result of a “fallout” rather than a complete breakdown.
The actress, who announced their separation in 2022 after eight years of marriage, shared her perspective in a recent interview with fellow actor Kunle Afod.
Yewande described the experience as a "trial," noting that no marriage is without its challenges. She emphasized that the true test of a relationship lies in the ability to rebuild and grow stronger in the face of adversity.
“There’s no marriage without its moments of trial, but the strength to rebuild is what truly defines its worth,” she said.
The interview marks the first time the actress has publicly discussed her marriage and the struggles that led to the separation. Despite the difficulty, Yewande remains focused on her career and personal growth, continuing to be a prominent figure in the Nollywood industry.
