Renowned Nigerian actress Ayo Adesanya has sounded a cautionary note to young women about the risks of pursuing fast money, particularly during the festive season. Speaking in an interview with *Saturday Beats*, Adesanya emphasized the importance of hard work and vigilance in making life decisions.
Addressing the challenges of inadequate parental guidance, Adesanya pointed out that young women often face undue pressure, worsened by the misleading portrayals on social media.
"Many of us who should serve as mentors have instead influenced the younger generation negatively," she said. "Parents can’t teach their children everything, but young girls must understand that much of what they see on the internet is fake."
The actress urged young women to abandon the pursuit of quick wealth, particularly through questionable means like "hookups."
"There’s no easy money out there," she stressed. "In a world grappling with economic challenges, nobody gives anything for free. If someone offers you money without effort, it’s either they’re taking something valuable from you or grooming you for something sinister."
Adesanya concluded her advice with a call for prayer and caution, warning against decisions that could lead to long-term regret.
