A mother in Ikorodu has spoken out after a teacher, identified as Mrs. Stella Nwadigo, repeatedly abused her 3-year-old son at a private school where she also works. The incident gained public attention after a viral video showed the teacher inflicting pain on the young boy, sparking widespread condemnation.

In an emotional interview conducted in Yoruba, the distraught mother detailed the series of maltreatment her son endured under the teacher’s care.

“I work in the same school where the teacher beat my son,” she said. “This wasn’t the first time she hurt him. I reported it to the school authorities, but nothing was done. I am alone because his father has passed away. I do menial jobs to survive. I want justice for my son, and I’m pleading with Nigerians to help with his education.”

Her story highlights the challenges she faces as a single parent while trying to secure a brighter future for her child.

The incident has triggered public outrage, with many Nigerians calling for justice and urging authorities to investigate the school’s handling of the situation. Advocates have also rallied to support the boy’s education and provide assistance to the grieving mother.

As the case unfolds, the demand for accountability and better protection for children in schools remains a focal point of public discourse.

You want justice. Justice for what? It's becoming obvious that this whole drama was planned to attract some assistance from the public. To actualize this a teacher of Igbo extraction will sell . Hence this unfortunate woman fell in. The kid must have been tutored with the cameraman on standby. I stand to be corrected.

You have a very valid point.  I am wondering how they got a video lit of tbe whole thing. Who was there making a video? The school is too poor, let alone having a cctv. Something fishy

Just like Baba Ijesha in the case of rape.....even if trap was set for you, if you don't have it in you, you will not be caught doing it...c'mon! Use your senses people...this is nothing tribal. Could be anybody's kid. Probably people had enough of her BS and decided to film one of the many occurrences. It is happening to hundreds of kids in Nigeria and because the monsters were not caught doesn't mean it is right. I was a victim myself! For the mother, she is just using the opportunity to make money. Probably even beat the kid more than the teacher does.
