A mother in Ikorodu has spoken out after a teacher, identified as Mrs. Stella Nwadigo, repeatedly abused her 3-year-old son at a private school where she also works. The incident gained public attention after a viral video showed the teacher inflicting pain on the young boy, sparking widespread condemnation.
In an emotional interview conducted in Yoruba, the distraught mother detailed the series of maltreatment her son endured under the teacher’s care.
“I work in the same school where the teacher beat my son,” she said. “This wasn’t the first time she hurt him. I reported it to the school authorities, but nothing was done. I am alone because his father has passed away. I do menial jobs to survive. I want justice for my son, and I’m pleading with Nigerians to help with his education.”
Her story highlights the challenges she faces as a single parent while trying to secure a brighter future for her child.
The incident has triggered public outrage, with many Nigerians calling for justice and urging authorities to investigate the school’s handling of the situation. Advocates have also rallied to support the boy’s education and provide assistance to the grieving mother.
As the case unfolds, the demand for accountability and better protection for children in schools remains a focal point of public discourse.
