Music executive, Ubi Franklin, has responded to the allegations levelled against him by singer Spyro.
In a recent interview, Spyro alleged that Ubi used Davido's name to get him to perform at a birthday party in Ghana and that Ubi has yet to pay him the money he claimed Davido was going to give to him after the performance.
In a video he shared online, Ubi said that indeed has the $5000 he was supposed to give Spyro after the show but that he is yet to give him because Spyro has also failed to seal up a business transaction they had last year.
According to him, he was able to seal a car deal for Spyro and the agreement was that he, Ubi, was going to get 10% of the money used in purchasing the car from Spyro. He claimed that Spyro made a 50% down payment and was to give him his 10% cut when he made the last instalment payment in December. He said Spyro failed to redeem his pledge of the 10% cut and so he held on to Spyro's $5000. He said Spyro has finished paying for the car and is yet to redeem his own pledge to him.

@onejoblessboy “I will not allow anyone destroy my name. And please it’s time you all stop trying to use David’s name to make your story sweet or get people to pay attention to your story….I have 5k dollars meant for you and you have 10.5m meant for me. If we do plus and minus by you owe me 2.5million cos 5k Dollars is 8m” Ubi Franklin says Spyro is the one owing him.
