Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have uncovered a suspected drug hideout in the Igbo Olumo area of Ikorodu, Lagos, leading to the arrest of two individuals and the recovery of psychoactive substances and firearms.

In a statement on Sunday, NDLEA officials confirmed that the suspects, identified as Joseph Oluwasegun Adewale and Biodun Adelakun, were apprehended during the operation. The raid also yielded a haul of seven liters of "skuchies," a dangerous cocktail containing black currant, cannabis, and opioids.

In addition to the drugs, a cache of firearms and ammunition was recovered from the scene, including:
- Three locally made double-barrel rifles
- One locally made double-barrel pistol
- One English-made pistol
- One locally made single-barrel rifle
- Three cartridges and an empty 9mm cartridge
- An iron-head axe

The NDLEA stated that the arrests and seizures are part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks involved in drug trafficking and related activities in Lagos State.

Further investigations are underway, and the suspects will face prosecution to address both drug and firearms offenses. The agency has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting public safety by cracking down on illegal drug production and trafficking.
