A shocking case of online infidelity has surfaced after a man exposed his wife’s secret affair with an unemployed stranger she met on Facebook.
According to the distraught husband, who shared his ordeal anonymously, his wife had been involved in a secret online relationship for nearly a month. Their conversations, which took place while he was at work, reportedly included exchanges of airtime, money, and intimate discussions about a planned physical meeting.
Revealing details of the betrayal, the husband stated that his wife recently requested money under the pretense of helping a sick relative, only to send ₦15,000 to the man she was chatting with. In their exchanges, she allegedly assured her online lover that she was happy in her marriage and was engaging in the affair "just for fun."
The situation escalated when the online lover instructed the woman to abstain from intimacy with her husband for at least a week before they met in person. The unsuspecting wife followed his request, claiming she was unwell.
Unbeknownst to her, the husband had created a fake account and assumed the identity of her online lover. Their planned meeting was set for Thursday, but the woman remained unaware that she was, in fact, speaking to her husband all along.
The incident has sparked reactions online, with many questioning the role of social media in modern relationships and the consequences of digital deception.
