A Nigerian man has taken to social media to call out digital banking platform Grey after his colleague reportedly lost access to his $5,000 salary due to a system glitch.
In a viral post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the man explained that his colleague’s account was inexplicably deleted after the payment was made, leaving him unable to access his funds.
According to him, when they contacted Grey’s customer support, they were informed that the account had been erased due to a technical error—without any prior notice to the user.
Expressing frustration, he wrote:
"Apparently, Grey can’t account for my colleague’s $5,000 salary paid into their account."
"Their excuse? They had a glitch a few days ago and deleted his account (without notifying him)."
"Money was sent to his account, and now they’re saying they can’t account for it, while the poor boy is left stranded and about to be kicked out of his apartment."
The post quickly gained traction, drawing widespread concern from social media users who flooded the comment section, demanding accountability and swift resolution from Grey.
As pressure mounts online, the affected customer and concerned individuals await an official response from the fintech company.
