The commissioner said out of the 51 youth corpers posted to the affected local government, four were murdered, 20 rescued, some others were with the State Security Service while others were yet to be accounted for.
He said, “So far 200 suspects, including two under-aged voters, have been arrested and the police also recovered three ballot boxes and 10 dane guns. A divisional Crime Officer and a female corporal were also killed while another DCO and a Divisional Police Officer were wounded and have been hospitalised.”
Meanwhile, five INEC offices were burnt and property, whose value had not been estimated, were destroyed in five local governments of the state, The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Sen. Iliya Audu, has said.
Inspecting the Bauchi Local Government secretariat of INEC on Tuesday, Audu named the INEC offices, burnt by the hoodlums, as Itas-Gadau, Jamaare, Bauchi, Dambam and Misau Local Government Areas.
He said that more than 500 laptop computers and 13 generators were burnt in the Bauchi office and that windows and doors were removed and taken away by the hoodlums.
Audu said that furniture, office files and other materials were burnt by the hoodlums.

The police commissioner said the private apartments of the policemen as well as corpers’ lodge were also touched in a village called Bara where churches were also burnt.
As at the time of filing this report, our correspondent gathered that a coordinator in one of the local governments in the state had finalised preparations to move the corps members in his local government to the army barracks.
