for you to know whether easter is christian or pagan one of the question must be put into conderation.
.1who is Jesus

2.Is Jesus real
3.what was he mission on earth
4.is he dead or live
5. what is our mission as christian
6  what is pagan and how did it come about.
7.what is your mission on earth as christian and the message of JESUS CHRIST.
................

You must put these into consideration not me because I do not emulate pagans or embrace what they do and later snatch it from them. I wonder how you overpower them to snatch forcefully the ester.

...how sure are you that Islamic religious belief and rituals are not "paganism orientated"
...do you want us to look at Islamic history...?

from his comment and posting u will understand that he is hater of christian

...he is not only a Christian hater...hes just ignorant of how Gold becomes Gold...
...Ive told them to go and reconcile with past Islamic history so as to know how to be good Muslims...

Let me ask you. Have you ever reconcile with the past Christianity history?

...Yes ...I have...
...and thats the reason I will stand firm...no matter the criticism from unbelievers or Christian haters and happy to say...
...There is True Christianity...which is beyond what you and your fellows know...

You have? Wonderful! How did you do that?

Ester was pagan. You do not agree?

Origins of the name "Easter":

The name "Easter" originated with the names of an ancient Goddess and God. The Venerable Bede, (672-735 CE.) a Christian scholar, first asserted in his book De Ratione Temporum that Easter was named after Eostre (a.k.a. Eastre). She was the Great Mother Goddess of the Saxon people in Northern Europe. Similarly, the "Teutonic dawn goddess of fertility [was] known variously as Ostare, Ostara, Ostern, Eostra, Eostre, Eostur, Eastra, Eastur, Austron and Ausos." 1 Her name was derived from the ancient word for spring: "eastre." Similar Goddesses were known by other names in ancient cultures around the Mediterranean, and were celebrated in the springtime.

Pagan origins of Easter:

Many, perhaps most, Pagan religions in the Mediterranean area had a major seasonal day of religious celebration at or following the Spring Equinox. Cybele, the Phrygian fertility goddess, had a consort, Attis, who was believed to have been born via a virgin birth. Attis was believed to have died and been resurrected each year during the period MAR-22 to MAR-25.

Gerald L. Berry, author of "Religions of the World," wrote:

"About 200 B.C. mystery cults began to appear in Rome just as they had earlier in Greece. Most notable was the Cybele cult centered on Vatican hill ...Associated with the Cybele cult was that of her lover, Attis (the older Tammuz, Osiris, Dionysus, or Orpheus under a new name). He was a god of ever-reviving vegetation. Born of a virgin, he died and was reborn annually. The festival began as a day of blood on Black Friday and culminated after three days in a day of rejoicing over the resurrection." 3

hahahahahah    see idolatry explanation..............christianity and pagan which is first? is another question,... ..

You are very correct. It is so Idolatry because the issue involved is idolatry also. This is correct indeed!

Mr poster, your research work is quite commenedable and scholarly too. However, there is still a missing link or a disconnect somewhere as it did not answer the fundamental question that formed the topic.Agreed that Easter has a pagan origin and evolved from a mystery cult and what have you.You have not explained whether the celebration as it is today is same with the one you traced. Also,it is not clearly stated if in celebrating Easter, christians  honour the gods you mentioned as well as submit to the existence of that same god  aside the living God or if christians in celebrating Easter commemorate the pagan god or the head of the mystery cult rather than Jesus Christ.

There are so many issues that cast doubt to the credibility and propriety of your presentation. You may wish to address this to further strenghten your take.
