CAPTAIN of the Super Eagles, Joseph Yobo is having it rosy at the moment in Turkey, despite his shock move from England, as Fernabahce is set to snap him on a permanent deal in the summer.
Tribunesports gathered that officials of the Turkish side have commenced talks with the agent of Yobo towards securing his clearance from the English Premiership side, Everton.
A source close to the defender disclosed that talks had reached the final stage where the issue of pay package is to be sealed by both parties.
Yobo, who remains the longest-serving player in the Super Eagles, is said to be enthusiastic about the new Turkish deal, after his loan move from England gave his career a new lease of life.
"Yobo is happy to remain in Turkey and he is really looking forward to having a permanent deal with Fenerbahce," a source close to the player who featured for the Flying Eagles at the U-20 World Cup Nigeria '99 said.
Meanwhile, Fernabahce is set to hook another Turkey-based Nigerian player, Emmanuel Emenike.
Sources said Fernabahce has begun moves to sign the Karabukspor striker in its bid to strengthen its attack.
