that's the problem with contract job. however, what is the conditions of service in their appiontment letters. they shld go to public complaints commission for redress.

Its quite unfortunate, in a first world, this kinda incident would be considered retrogressive to the economy and in other so-called advanced countries it is a key performance index (KPI) used to measure the overall boost or decline in the country's GDP. Here in Nigeria its just a topic to discuss on and a good reason to pray and fast more as often orchestrated by our religious chauvinist. I think these development should not be taken lightly if for any reason other than the fact that these people have dependents that would be sorely affected by this uncouth act. Also, this  is an awkward sign for both the banking system and its head (the governor). The sacking of these individuals means that ZENITH bank rather than file a bankruptcy claim to the CBN or accept that they have no visible means of paying their workers resort to this infamous act. Really, am sad!

well am not surprised , a system where  those incorprated has every right and power to do what they feels convienent to them,
 if not i wonder why a worker would not ve a previous 15 days letter telling him/her the situation b4 sacking him
