I am a woman in the USA, who's in love with a man in Nigeria.
I look 10 years younger than I am. He even thought so upon seeing me.
We are both adults, but he is concerned about what people would think.
In my country, it is okay as long as two people love each other & are both of age.
Is this considered Taboo in your country?
People may frown at it in Nigeria but its not necessarily a taboo. It depends on the two individuals and its no ones else business. If he really make u happy and u both don't mind the age difference, then whose to stop u. Besides life is too short....

Who cares of the age as long as you both are adults of legal consenting age. However I will warn you to be very careful and definitely take your time in everything that you do. I am a American born Nigerian woman, and I have seen more than a few older women fall victim of a younger, handsome man. So please take your time, be cautious of everything that you and make sure that what you feel for him is mutual. In addition, please know that a 10 year age difference is quite large and he just may want to still have fun, so be ready to deal with such. I say in you truly love him and he truly loves you, nothing anyone say nor do will come between. Good luck darling.....I pray that you have a successful courtship.....

There's nothing wrong with being an older woman in love with a younger man. And if he's embarrassed of your age then I think he may need to find him a younger woman. As for love if the two of you really love each other then to hell with what other people think. Other people are not going to love you the way you two love each other. As for myself I am from the US and I'm married to a Nigerian citizen and I am much older then he is. Love conquers all sweetie. We did not consider what people thought of the age difference just as long as we loved each other. And this love we have for each other no other american nor nigerian can give it to us. So enjoy life and stop worrying about what people think, so or do. Now as I said sometime back, if he is embarrassed of the age difference then end it now and find someone to love you for the person that you are despite the age difference. Pray about it.

ppl will always have wrong things to say when it comes to relationship that involves age. love knows no bound my dear if he does not want to marry in cos of 9years different let him take a hike then he does not love you girl. Dare Art Alade a popular musician in nigeria is married to a lady that news has it she is older than him.
if he truely loves u. he would not listen to wat pple might be thinkin.

It is better for a man to double the age of a woman and get married to her than a woman to senior a man. WHO CONTROLS WHO IN THE HOUSE? how will the husband feel asking his wife to do something for him? base on the fact that she senior him? How will the husband correct the wife whenever she is wrong? My pals, the HEART IS NOT MADE OF BONE surely, one day something will surely go wrong between them, and before u no (u no women now with their pride) the woman will surely say "AFTERALL AM NOT YOUR MATE" God forbid to hear that. SO NEVER START WHAT U CAN'T FINISH. They said love is blind, but to me i believe love is only blind when the person in love is also blind.
