The State case, as presented by prosecutor Mr Admire Chikwayi, is that Moyo was caught behind enemy lines for trying to forcibly turn a 22-year-bld woman from Queens Park West into an impromptu strip show figure for inflating the price of
her services.
The court heard that the complainant was at a city nightclub when she went out walking along 12th Avenue towards a restaurant where she wanted to buy some food.
The complainant met the accused and they agreed to spend the night together for $15 but she reportedly made a u-turn and increased the price to $30 a move which angered the accused,
After the misunderstanding, the complainant went away and the accused tried to grab her but she ran away from him.
The accused pursued the complainant and managed to catch up with her before he grabbed her.
The accused, after catching the complainant, ordered her to remove her clothes and the latter spurned the weird order.
Her spurning of the accused's instructions, infuriated Moyo resulting in him grabbing the complainant by the neck. He pulled out an empty bottle from his pocket and allegedly hit the complainant on the mouth.
The accused continued to brutally assault the complainant with the bottle resulting in her losing two of her teeth, one on the upper and the other on the lower side. As if losing her two teeth Was not enough, she was left with a third tooth shaking.
After the assault the complainant stalked the accused who was walking along 12th Avenue and luckily enough on the way the complainant met some police officers on patrol and reported the matter leading to his arrest.
The complainant was referred to the hospital for medical examination. The accused was remanded in custody for trial.
