It is clearly unacceptable that you put a fellow human through this physical and psychological pains and trauma irrespective of your grievance(s);the suspect MUST be brought to book immediately. God is a loving God. He can never hate the people he created? But like a parent and even greater then any parents on this earth he will surely punish you when you disobeyed him. There are people in Nigeria that had wrong God on so many levels and because of them the Good/God fearing Nigerians have to endure the burden. Sometimes we need to asked ourselves what are the reasons so many wickness is in the land. A land blessed with both human and natural resorces, but yet her people are in so much calamity. I believe God is even having mercy on Nigeria/Nigerians because if he wasn't Nigeria would have been a different story by now.
