ALTHOUGH it is still early days, Nigerians yesterday got a taste of the full deregulation of the downstream sector of the oil industry as pump price differentiation was the order of the day in filling stations across the country.

Also, condemnation and commendation continued to trail the government's decision to remove the subsidy on petrol.

Meanwhile, a coalition of Labour, civil society groups and others has said it would start a nationwide strike today over the removal of fuel subsidy that has pushed the price of petrol to at least N138 a litre from N65.

Apparently seeking a way to profit from the sudden inauguration of the regime, petroleum marketers in Lagos at first shut their outlets to motorists, which engendered queues at these stations.

anybody in his right sences will never call for mass protest on the issue of subsidy removal,we have been making this mistake for so long,we are the worlds second largest oil producing country weather youlike it or not and we import oil from other countries, what are we? FOOLS ofcourse. People have lost sarnity, following the wind of money which oil marketers has sprade on some individuals to distabilise the polity and the unity of this country.why do we import fuel?why has Government not been able to build the LAGOS onitsha express way which has taken more than 3000 lives,Have you ever think of these things, why is government finding it difficult to provide steady light. All this are as a result of Oil subsidy, half of our budget goes to importation of oil,and still the oil stands as costly as ever.IF people are wise enough, they should now that in six months time, fuel price will fall like the communication industry where at inception and adoption of multi players in the field, the competiveness of the business drag the price of sim cat from 25000 to 200naira and even dashing out (freeeee)
Lets be wise,Gannah heard that we want to do this, and they found out that is good, now they did it before us because they want to draw investors before us,China heard we want to remove the subsidy, they rush to start work on the three abandoned Refinary projects in Lagos,KOggi and Bayelsa. Many direct investments are on the way as a result of this subsidy removal which at the end of the day will bring economic prosperity that will be translated into millions of jobs for Nigerians. Watching the picture shown on this write up,the buildings around looks like burial ground,a place which human beings are not supose to live, but Nigerians have being managing to adapt, why cant we support this administration to creat a new Nigeria that will give birth to Hope and Love for our nation.
Nigeria has being growing from good to wost since the inception of this fuel subsidy,we make 4trillion Nira budget and almost a trillion goes to the importation of fuel alone, how much is remaining for projects like power and other infrastructure.Beleive me people if the oil marketers can Bribe  people like NUT and Labour   with other members of the governmental bodies  with more than 100billion naira, how much do you think they are robbing off  the country, that they lobby people with such amounth.Be wise oh! people,THANS MR PRESIDENT AND YOUR ECONOMIC TEAM,IS TIME TO CALL A SPEDE A SPADE AND MAE ALL THE PREVIOUS POLITICAL THEIVES BEG FOR  PIECE OF MEAT.YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT PART MR Grin Embarrassed/b]
