Lagos lawyer, Mr Femi Falana, yesterday, told Justice Ebenezer Adebajo of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Igbosere, that Sunday Akinyemi, accused remanded in Ikoyi prison, Lagos, but reportedly said to be in London, will be back to the country by the end of February.
Falana, counsel to Akinyemi, informed the court that his client developed cancer earlier, which has now degenerated into liver complication, but that he (Akinyemi) told him (Falana) on phone, that he will be present in Court at the next adjourned date.
Asking for a short adjourned date, Falana noted that the prosecution served him a 25 paragraph counter-affidavit, adding “I will be asking for a short adjournment to enable us to respond to the copious affidavit.”
