adekz at 22-02-2012 04:45 AM (11 years ago) (m) Who told you this? Nigeria is the 20th biggest word economy with over 36 billion USD in foreign reserve. So, to me I believe the fact that wealth is not equally distributed does not make us the poorest country in the world. We are never poor. We only lack leadership and wealth maintenance issues. We are country controlling the African economy as at today. Perhaps what those stupid people like CBN governor and his associates say are putting your ability to reason well on line. Please...stop this kind of post. If you don't have any informaition, then go to prison yards and interview the inmates about lives behind bars. I think Naijapals posters need some sorts of orientation on gathering and spreading information. As it is, they have employed poorly trained moderators and posters and that is why they pick up some information by the roadside and bring it here. It is wrong. Get back to school and learn a life. switzy at 22-02-2012 05:04 AM (11 years ago) (m) NOT POSSIBLE!!, where is Somalia, and all these countries that Nigeria virtually supports. how did the person come up with theses facts?, did he/she do any survey?... total rubbish....you can hardly see a Nigerian child malnourished, even the poor ones tend to be fatter than those from much better homes (based on observation). I don't believe this report one bit! Posted: at 22-02-2012 05:04 AM (11 years ago) | Newbie

mal-nourishment is quite different from nigeria being the 20th biggest economy or even the richest so far. you have to ask urself questions if the riches are equally distributed or benefited by the normal people in the society.perhaps you may come from a middle class society or aristocratic society where u hardly see or find mal-nourished or abjectly starved people but what about other places beyond your eyes dnt you know many nigerians are critically starved, mal -noushed even worst than the biafrans in the civil war. you can find them in the north, east, south, west, middle belt and many other places in nigerian that ar not so disclosed Posted: at 22-02-2012 10:29 AM (11 years ago) | Upcoming

Khaki2X at 22-02-2012 11:46 AM (11 years ago) (m) It is completely true. I’ve had the opportunity to work on some poverty alleviation programmes and I was able to see for self. In Lagos alone there are 40% malnourished children. They are in the slumps and the worst condition ever for human living. The government don’t give a shit about this. I agree with this research because of the almajiri‘s in d northern part of nigeria. I grew up in d north, so i understand what d research is all abt. In d north, u will see a man dat sells kola nuts dat is nt up to #200, married to 3 wives with abt 17 children. Tell me hw dis man will be able to feed himself frm d peanuts he makes after selling his kolanuts nt to talk of feeding his entire famiy? And wen such children are up to 7yrz for d boys, dey send dem to become almajiri or dey go abt begging alms, while d girls are forced into early marriage. Y won‘t hunger finish dem??? true talk my sister they should go to buruku in kaduna or some of the villages in northern part of nigeria to see things them self Posted: at 22-02-2012 12:03 PM (11 years ago) | Newbie

buchiike at 22-02-2012 01:32 PM (11 years ago) (m) How did you know that they are fine? Most looked malnourished, stunted growth and when they get to their teenage years they have all types of health problems. I have seen a 11 year old looked like he is 7 years old. Short, weighs less than 65lbs and has no energy. Tell me, how "fine" is that?
Too many Nigerians are living in poverty and the children suffer the most.
dan fulani.
I agree with u.. our people don't like the truth.. in nigeria there many children that can not even feed 2 square meal in a day. Posted: at 22-02-2012 01:32 PM (11 years ago) | Upcoming
