This was revealed by JAMB Registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, at a news conference in Abuja today. He also said the results of 27, 266 candidates across eight states were withheld for various reasons.

A total of 1,503,931 candidates sat for the 2012 UTME, which held across the country on March 24, with Imo state having the highest number of applicants with 123,865 candidates; Delta came second with 88,876 candidates while Anambra placed third with 84,204 candidates. Abuja recorded the lowest number with 3,380 candidates, Sokoto placed next with 5, 664 candidates while 5,713 candidates sat from Zamfara.


This is a big shame for the youths of today, during my time I scored around 310 and look at me, doing very well. Read your books children

Even the 3 candidates that scored 300 and above, are they sure of gaining the admission? Because I new of a guy who scored 299 last year, yet he didn't get the admission. Let to me, I don't know the value of the JAMB.

My question is, but why the mighty iroko called Nigeria falling? Does it mean that our education sector has paralyzed or we still have hope?Please, let all parents stop sending their children to miracle centers for the betterment of the youths. Parents take note.
