Great "Duty Call" spirit. Hard to find. This attitude will certainly earn her a place in the heart of her boss and International fame with the story having gone viral.
However on another hand, she must have kept her husband (the one who she claims rocks her world) standing on the alter.
When in the future there's conflict between Love/Family on one hand and Career on the other, the husband should not expect anything different. She has answered tomorrow's question today.
2  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: ROMANCE: Why Must Women Always "Submit" To Their Husband? on: 8-03-2013 01:53 PM
Eph 5:22 and verse 25

22. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
KJV

25. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
KJV

The above bible passages are commandments to wives and husbands.
Even though the commandment to the wives precedes that of the husbands in the bible, it does not necessarily mean the wives have to submit first before the husbands will love.
The conflict in opinion is usually because the wives would rather read the letter written to the husbands in verse 25 than read the letter written to the wives in verse 22 and the husbands would  rather read the letter written to the wives in verse 22 than read the letter written to the husbands in verse 25.
If  the wives and the husbands would read the commandment written to each of them specifically, and practice it not minding what was written to the other person, the problem of SUBMISSION & LOVE will not arise.
So I say to both wives and husband "DON'T READ YOUR PARTNER'S LETTER, READ YOUR OWN"

Well, am so sorry about your predicament. Even though I have never experienced this, it's so hard for me to put myself in your shoes.
However, I want to let you know that as you told your story, you mentioned that you left "YOUR MATRIMONIAL HOME" It's your home you left and not someone else's home.
I suggest you go back home to your husband before it becomes the MATRIMONIAL home of his Ex.
But before you go back home, I suggest you sit with your husband and discuss the other woman and her baby. When you both reach a compromise on that issue, then GO BACK HOME. You'll be glad you did.

The nation when broken down is made up of different sectors. Petroleum, Finance, Sports, Broadcasting etc. A nation can only be good when those in each of these sectors are doing right what they ought to do.

If the Nigerian police were doing what they ought to do right, we wouldn't have Boko issues today.
If NNPC were doing what they ought to do right, we wouldn't have fuel scarcity issues.
If the Federal Government were doing what they ought to do, we wouldn't have corruption being glorified on the corridors of power.
Now, NBC is doing what they ought to do, lots of us are throwing stones at them.

The eyes are the windows into the heart. What the eyes see can either edify the soul or corrupt the heart.

Guide your heart with all diligence for out of it flows the issues of life.

If he successfully defended cases and won some of them for over this 15 years period, I thinks he deserves an award. Because he must be a genius. Did he get any formal law training in the course of his education? Please award him after his jail term.

Angry Angry Angry  In  as much as I support the fact that churches should respect constituted authority, I smell a rat here. "ENGR. RASHEED SHABI" This is foul play. How come there are no mosques in the number. I stand to be corrected but I have never seen one single mosque that can be described as quiet.

Every mosque has at least 1 horn speaker at the top and most of the time 4 horn speakers facing East, West, North and South blaring at a provocative volume.

If you live anywhere close to a mosque, you will agree with me that they annoyingly wake you up when you are not yet ready to get up. They do it not only very early in the morning but at least 5 times everyday.

So how come, there are no mosques in the number? I guess that is no noise pollution. I wonder what name to call it then.   Angry Angry Angry

10  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Trade Union Congress President, Peter Esele Gets Political Appointment From GEJ on: 18-01-2012 02:08 PM
There's hardly any decision the government takes that people will not fault it. Mr. Esele was appointed to that committee so as to represent the interest of his constituency (TUC and the masses). If the government did not appoint him, am sure the same people who are criticising his appointment will also criticise the government for not being sincere.
By the way, NLC & TUC stated very clearly that the decision of N97 pump price was a unilateral decision.

Why shouldn't we look at things from different angles?

Apologising for any offence one has committed does not make that person any smaller.
Rather it makes you an honourable person.
If Tonto cares about honour and dignity of person, let her apologise.
If she does not care, then she may choose to remain silent.
However, not too long from now, she might be at the receiving end.
When this happens, she should not demand for apologies cos what is good for the goose, is goo for the gander.

Pastor Odulele's offence is unjustifiable. However, he is a human, flesh and blood like you and I. He's not super human.
He was honourable enough to plead guilty.

Let's find a place in our heart to forgive him.

@ THE POSTER:

You are truly entitled to your opinion. I won't attempt to take you up on that opinion cos i know it is born out of unpleasant experiences.

However, I will let you know that your belief does not change the truth that it does exist. Some people fall into wrong hands in their quest for true love hence the opinion of in-existence of true love.

No one sees radio waves but if you want to prove it's existence, plug in a radio.
True love is intangible, but if you want to prove its existence, go in search of it or find out from those who claim to have experienced it.

@ THE POSTER:

Even though 1 + 1 is said to be = 1 in marriage, the parties involved must learn to know that each party still posses a distinct & independent will.
However, this independent will must respect the opinion of the other party.
The bible says & I paraphrase ....the desires of a married woman is to please her husband. (I Cor. 7:34)

Inasmuch as the husband is not expected to dictate the cloth his wife must always wear,(though he may REQUEST from time to time), however, the wife must also recognise that her dressing must first of all please her husband, before any other.

That means, she should not wear whatsoever her husband is not comfortable with even when she feels cool in it.
This also goes for the husband as well.
18  Forum / The Buzz Central / Re: "I still don't know why Dauda slapped me" actress Uche Ogbodo on: 9-12-2010 05:15 PM
Well, we have not heard the other party's side of the story so it's difficult to judge equitably.
Am not a lawyer but I know of a maxim in the legal profession that says "he that comes to equity must come with clean hands."
I do hope Uche has come with clean hands.

However, I think it's ungentlemanly for Dauda to go physical with a lady. It's an insult on gentle men.
Gentle men won't throw decorum to the dungs, descend so low as to physically abuse a lady. I suggest Dauda should do something about his temper.
19  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: Why do guys have problems with Chastity? (Page 7) on: 7-12-2010 05:14 PM
@ THE POSTER

I must state here that many guys will take exception to this scenario. Whether you believe it or not, there still young men out there who are candidates of the chastity school of thought.

However, we know that there are lots of guys out there too who their libidos control them and not the other way.
A real man will respect the wish of his fiancee if she insists on keeping chaste till wedding night. In fact, the request to have sex should not arise in the first place.

There is an Ibo proverb that says you don't have to spy into a parcel that will eventually be opened. Just be patient till the parcel is opened.
If a guy breaks up with his fiancee on the grounds that she insisted on chastity, it is likely that he wasn't going to marry her in the first place. He probably wanted to catch his fun, dump her and move on.
