201  Forum / Religion / Re: Why do people think women should or should not be allowed to be ministers? on: 15-03-2011 10:52 PM
Because the world culturally and religiously has labeled women as being inferior spiritual beings.  Women belong to God and anything that belongs to God can be used by Him.  If God has called you to do His bid, then do not shy away because of the culture you are in, submit yourself to His complete will, because if you back down  and refuse because of men, then it is man you worship and not God.
202  Forum / Religion / Re: If God is so forgiving and loving why did He feel it necessary to create Hell? on: 15-03-2011 10:41 PM
Why worry about a hell none has yet to see, why not worry about the hell that is right here on earth?  When I look around at the atrocities that happen on this earth daily, hell seems like a trip to the beach.  Go ask the 7 yr old who was forced into prostitution and had a hot poker rammed into her honeypot to break her into submission,  forced to sleep with grown men dozens a day since childhood, ask her if she cares about hell.  I am sure she would tell you that a mere fire is nothing compared to what she has met in her young life on earth.  The real hell is right here on earth.

204  Forum / Religion / Re: WAS JESUS ACTUALLY SON OG GOD? WAS HE DIES ON THE CROSS ? on: 15-03-2011 10:34 PM
Jesus was actually the son of God, just like every single male on the planet is actually the son of God.  Death is death, whether cruel or not, it leads to the same end.   He rose from it though, so he conquered death and one may say he never truly died, but just went to sleep.  Like Enoch, Elijah and possibly Moses they all conquered death, none met a physical death as we know it.  Moses is not for sure, but it is highly possible he also did not die.

It's funny how so many ppl are concerned about what they will tell God.  What will you tell God?  No need judging the dead, none of use are qualified to judge another anyways, just let it be.   They were young and probably uneducated to know the dangers of keeping a generator indoors.  May their souls R.I.P

Do what ever makes you happy.  If being a young bride and wife is what excites you, then do it.  It's your life to create and live as you choose, so do whatever pleases you.
210  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: Women's Submission Vs Men's Love on: 15-03-2011 09:53 PM
Basically each partner submits to each other.  The idea that a woman should submit to man somehow then makes the man a superior entity than the woman, but none are superior to each other, they are both piece of a half that makes a whole.  If a man was truly superior to his wife under biblical law then the man would be responsible for his wife's sins, but because each person is responsible for their own lives and face their individual judgment then none is superior to the other.  Both parties submit to each other under marriage.

This happens all over the world from time to time depending on conditions.  Is it just a lack of rains and the reservoirs are low, or is it just poor infrastructure?  Whatever the case, ppl have to get out of the mindset of depending on the govt and start thinking about how they will do for themselves.

If someone don't want you in their family why try to force yourself in? Go where you are wanted.

Regardless of what Nigeria is or isn't these returnees are some serious bitches for making a statement like that.  I have never heard anybody rescued from a fire said they would have preferred to be left in it.  Libya is on fire and even natural born Libyans are fleeing with no knowledge of where to run, yet these spineless fools have a place of safety to run to, but talking shit.  These are the mofos who will sell their birthright for a piece of stale bread, because it's an instant belly full.

My heart bleed for the people who have these rulers.  The oil belongs to no one, this ruling family cannot make the oil, so why not ensure all the citizenry benefit for the glory of mother nature.   I just cannot believe that these folks can live is such opulence while their people  suffer for lack of bread and water.  If there is a hell, I hope their spot burn hotter and longer.

Underaged girls should not be dancing in clubs, they should be in school.   I wonder how the gov't will ensure the future success of these girls, will they get an education, skills training, food and shelter?  As for the adult females, will they be placed in the care of some organization to assist them with turning their lives around and being a productive member of society?  It's one thing to remove something from someone, but what they replace it with so they never miss the former.  I wish these girls and ladies well.
218  Forum / The Buzz Central / Re: Yoruba Movies Are Not Popular – Powerful Uche Jumbo (Page 7) on: 28-02-2011 09:18 PM
Movies represent art and in art one has to be open to all different interpretations.  To say one type of movie is better than the other is foolishness.  I watch movies for a story, to be transported to a different place.  The majority of movie lovers are simply open to good story, if it's  Yoruba, English, Korean, Swedish, American or whatever, all movie goers care about is a good story from scripting, acting, directing, producing excellence at every level.  To say there is no place globally for Yoruba movies is also foolish, if the producers subtitle the movies properly they can be just as successful as the English Nigerian films.  At the end of the day Uche's opinion is her own and not gospel.

Bull....women don't bring men to their house when they cheat.  I have known a few cheaters in my time and I have yet to see one who brings a man home to do the deed.  The only time that may be a possibility is if the husband has gone abroad.  Sad that another family has broken up for whatever reasons.

Good work John.  I didn't even realize how tall he was until I saw these pictures.  Ghanaian celebs are giving back big time.  Yvonne Nelson has a glaucoma foundation going and Jackie Appiah is involved in some charitable work as well.  I know the Nigerians are complaining about their celebs lack of philanthropy, but I do believe I read somewhere that Mercy Johnson was involved in something, perhaps someone could confirm if this is correct.  All celebs should give back, because it is the same poor ppl who support their work.
