"The car was packed by the road side, displayed "FOR SALE", the convoy of the Governor of ondo state was moving, a private car wanted to pass the convoy on a busy road in Abuja, in order for them note to allow the car to pass they ran into the packed cars beside the road numbering 3, they purportedly agree in fixing the cars, just for them to say no, that they should go to court."

When NaijaParrots made further enquiries about the details of the event, the complainant who identified himself as an in-law to the car seller said "It was parked at the Prince and Princess junction on the pedestrian path, where you have the vulcanizers. Close to it. It happened at about 9:35am on Tuesday morning." (i.e May 15th)

He went further to say "we demand justice. We are Nigerians. The convoy of the Ondo State Governor mimiko ran into and fatally destroyed Chrysler Hemi 300C car that was not in motion and instead of fixing the car they opted to go to court."

Gov. Mimiko was said to be in one of the vehicles in the convoy.

It is no more news how reckless drivers of governor's vehicles could be on Nigeria's highways but seeing that a state government could not afford to take a comprehensive motor vehicle insurance over the fleet of vehicles in the governor's convoy is sad.

Ondo state government cannot expect an ordinary man on the street to bear the brunts of her carelessness and recklessness. The proper thing is for the state government to compensate the owner of the vehicles instead of resorting to time-wasting strategies.

At this crucial time in the life of the Mimiko government it cannot afford to be seen as a government without a human face.
