THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youth in Akoko-Edo, Edo State, have raised the alarm over alleged plans by the state government to conceal the facts about the cause of the accident that took the lives of three journalists of the state recently.

Mr Olatunji Jacob of the Independent Television (ITV), George Okosun and Fidelix Okani of the Africa Independent Television (AIT), died in an accident involving the convoy of Governor Adams Oshiomhole along the Afuze-Auchi road.

The PDP youth groups in Edo North said the PDP was accused of orchestrating the accident in order to assassinate Governor Adams Oshiomhole and wondered the silence in recent times by Oshiomhole.

According to him, “we discovered that the owner of the lorry and the driver are card-carrying members of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), they have been silent on the issue and we are saying that we want the report of the investigation made public by the state government, so that those accusing the PDP will bow their heads in shame and know it is wrong not to play politics with the dead.”
