Judith is the first born and daughter of michael, born to Maunga Phiri, Judith mother,but sometime in 1991 she allegedly replaced her mother as her father’s WIFE! According to family members, the late michael divorced his wife over unclear reasons.
“We were shocked a few months down the line when we learnt that Judith was pregnant with her father’s child. As a family, we made efforts to be civic with them and understand what the problem was but Michael closed us out as a result we lost interest in their ‘family’ business,” said Selina who claimed to be a sister to the late Michael.
Phiri, after being dislodged from her bed by her BIOLOGICAL daughter, packed her bags and went back to her native country, Malawi. Michael and his daughter Judith lived harmoniously as husband and wife from 1992 to 15 May 2012 when he died of cancer at the age of 78.
“The death of my brother became a rude awakening for Judith because she could not do anything without other members of the family. She called people informing them of the passing on of her father cum husband but family members showed disinterest in mourning with her,” Tembo said.
Michael family finally caucused five days after the death of Michael at Matshobane suburb and agreed to put their kin to rest. A neighbor also narrated what took place.
“It was a sad story when micael relatives eventually came for funeral. They hurled insults at Judith with a few women manhandling her and she was injured that is why she is using clutches. A group of boys passing came to her rescue and escorted her to police station said the neighbor.

Judith was evasive when we reached her for comment. Pressed to answer if it was true that she had married her biological father, Judith said it was regrettable that things went that way. “I wish I could turn back the hands of time.”
When the two married, michael’s children who naturally are Judith’s siblings disowned their father and sister and disassociated themselves from the two. They reportedly followed their mother to Malawi and did not attend the funeral. Judith conceived THREE children with HER FATHER. michael was laid to rest at West Park cemetery
