I think it was attempted murder. Prior to this, in an interview he had, the way he was talking was as if he is expecting to die any time soon. I think he had been receiving treats from some enemies of his and now they just tried to kill him. I hope he survives so that he can give his life to Christ and be saved in case he hasn't already done so. Please God be with him.
