Last Saturday, Sept 8th, Nigeria’s First Lady, Patience Jonathan, and the Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala were awarded honorary doctorate degrees of the Delta State University, Abraka.
Mrs Okonjo-Iweala thanked the Delta State governor, the university authorities and the students for the honour and donated N1 million and N500,000 for the best students of post graduate class and undergraduate respectively.
Mrs. Jonathan, who was absent at the ceremony, for reasons there has been a lot of talk about but no official statement on the state of her health from the presidency so far, was represented by the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Zainab Maina.
Last week, a news report by Sahara Reporters claimed she was receiving treatment in a German hospital for “food poisoning”.
Her spokesman, Ayo Osinlu later debunked the rumours saying she wasn’t ill but was only resting in Germany.
However, another report followed by Premium Times says that she was receiving treatment in Germany for “ruptured appendicitis.”
While Nigerians were still debating on her state of health, Sahara Reporters followed with another report claiming that doctors in a German clinic performed a surgical procedure her to remove “uterine fibroids” which might be cancerous.

Umblera. Ok o. Just hope it makes her get better,whatever the sickness it is. But we as Nigerians have the right to know the true state of 'our' first lady.

A Competent And Certified Illiterate. Don't Deceive Yourself. An Illiterate Remains An Illiterate Any Day, Any Time, Any Where. Just Because A University Tore Out An Undocumented Piece Of Paper And Presented To You, Doesn't Mean You Earned It. Just Because You Donated Nigerian Money To Develop Their University That Is Why You Got The Degree. The University Is Reasonably Convinced, That Degree Will Never Run In Their Data. You Never Took Lectures, You Presented No Seminars, You Did No Reports, No Course Work, No Assignments. It's Only To Blindly Persuade You To Donate More Money To Them. Educated People Will Always Use Uneducated People, That's A Clear Fact. If You Want To Earn A Degree And Be Proud Of It. Go And Sit Down In The Classroom Study Just Like Everyone Else For 4-5 Years Or More, Then You Will Be Respected.
