The police in some northern states had failed in their mission to curb the Boko Haram menace some even reportedly collaborating with them  .  The fact that this policeman was not only in mufti  but also engaged in an argument with those who had been earlier hinted of impending trouble could only make matters worse .  I can only believe this is a complicated isolated case.
