The Chairman, Board of Trustees of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Tony Anenih has told those opposing President Jonathan’s second term ambition, especially people from South-South geopolitical zone that anyone of them who fails to support Jonathan in 2015 must be psychologically or mentally derailed.

“The president is from the South-South and therefore any person from the zone who does not support President Jonathan has a mental case and should not be allowed because I see that as a part of indiscipline.”

The party chieftain who stated this yesterday at the Zonal Committee meeting of the ruling Party in Calabar, Cross River State warned that no South-South leader should work against Jonathan’s second term move.

‘Mr Fix it’, as he’s fondly called said, “We are here to do what is the right thing. Nobody in Nigeria who is above 25 years that does not know the importance of South-South as it produces oil and seasoned credible men just as the leadership of PDP is from the zone.

On the automatic ticket of the PDP, which he has been campaigning for, Anenih said “as for the president, it is constitutional and he has the right to go for a second term and if he should fail at the August 31 convention this year, it means there will be another convention within 30 days. For the first timers in National Assembly and the Governors, they have the right to seek re-nomination and their acceptance would be based on performance.”
