Indications emerged last night that prominent Nigerians of Ijaw extraction might take former President Olusegun Obasanjo to task for singling them out for attack in his missive to President Goodluck Jonathan.
Particularly considered offensive to the Ijaw, who are Jonathan’s kinsmen, is the use of quotations mark to describe their ethnic nationality by the former president in his controversial letter to Jonathan last week.
An Ijaw legal practitioner, Mr. Mela Ofoborika, told Vanguard in an interview last Sunday that natives of Ijaw ethnic nationality considered Obasanjo’s emphasis on Ijaw as a personal attack and a calculated attempt to disparage them before other Nigerians.

obasanjo is right to his opinion, and as a question i will want to ask the ijaw community where were they when nigeria was still struggling and fighting for its federation, now they are ripping the hardwork and sweat of the hausa, lgbo and yoruba man and to add insult to injury, they are acting as if the really earned it. The like of clark and dokubo, was clark not alive doing the colonial era, why was his name neva metioned in mordern history, the only place his name was mentioned was during amensty. The ijaw community have being feeling untouchable since jonathan became the president examples are alamesaya, alison madueke, asari dokubo and clark.
