Unconfirmed reports say that founder of the Living Faith church founder, Pastor David Oyedepo has been barred from entering the United Kingdom.

A source at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport told ‘ThisisAfrica’, that Oyedepo’s barring was communicated to airlines via an ‘Airline Alert’ on Saturday, 9 August. The alert stated that any airline that acts against the ban will be fined £2000 (N542,000).

According to a recent Daily Mail and Guardian report, an inquiry by the UK Charitable Commission accused the UK branch of Winners Chapel of cynically exploiting supporters.

In addition to the report of Oyedepo’s barring on ‘ThisisAfrica’, there was also a photo of the alleged ‘Airline alert’.

Daily Mail’s report stated that the church received £16.7 million (N4.5 billion) in donations from followers who were told that God would give them riches in return’ and that ‘Followers are ferried in double-decker shuttle buses to the church, handed slips inviting them to make debit card payments, and are even told obeying the ministry’s teachings will make them immune from illness’.

David O. Oyedepo is reputed to be the richest pastor in Nigeria. He is the senior pastor of Faith Tabernacle, a 50,000 seat church auditorium, reported to be the largest church auditorium in the world by the Guinness Book of Record

Everybody shut up. Nobody is a saint and most of you on this thread are no exceptions. Whether N4 billion or N400,000, rule in those countries is that the money you make there have to be spent there, except that you can take out some certain percentage. Am really sure that most of you living abroad send money home regularly for one project or the other through Western union. Therefore most of u are breaking the rule too. In the case of Bishop Oyedepo, the money is huge and is for the ministry. Most people including the pastors are not following this rule and most of you are not too. Remove the log of wood in your own eyes first before removing speck in somebody's eyes

The idea of giving MONEY to "god" to be given "something" back in return is linked to traditional African form of worship from bygone days. In those days,  you made sacrifices to ensure a good harvest, a safe delivery, protection from enemies etc. This appears to be the belief system many "pastors" hang on to - to get their "congregation" to "PAY FOR PROTECTION!"

They fail to understand that God does not want you to pay him to protect you. I give what I am able and God is watching over me and million of others. I have never been told in my church that "paying up money will keep me alive and well. Some "pastors"  are turning God into the MAFIA - where you pay for protection.

We are told to come to God FREE OF CHARGE.

No amount of money paid will be enough to BRIBE God into giving you what you what is not yours. He is not a Nigerian!

The U.K is a country where christianity is ignored. In Living faith church worldwide nobody is extorted or cajoled to give money, u do it on ur own..His a man of God pple must persecute him, but remember dat dis man God has blessed 2 be a blessing 2 nations.. Those who are true winners non is dying of poverty... Be very careful about d tins u say about the bishop of God.. Jesus said I have come dat u may have life nd have it more abundantly, pple who understand dis word nd other promises are enjoying d liberation mandate of prosperity nd vices from d pity of hell
