The founder and general overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) Prophet TB Joshua will appear in court on Monday over the collapse of a six-storey building that collapsed in his church at Ikotun, Lagos state Western Nigeria. The collapsed killed over 90 victims while over 100 were rescued from the debris, most of whom were South Africans. Following the incident, the Lagos State government set up a judicial panel to look into the cause of the collapse building. The panel is scheduled to start sitting on Monday 13 October at the Lagos State Hight court at Ikeja, Lagos. Our correspondent gathered that all the parties involved have been summoned to appear before the panel when it begins sitting.
It will be recalled the building collapse caused a controversy following claims and counter-claims as to the reason for the building collapse. The Lagos state government has partly hinged the collapse of the building on building agents who did not get approval to erect the structure, adding that, it was due to structural deficit as the building was originally a two-storey building. Joshua had made several claims that the building was demolished through explosives. He also blamed an aircraft that hovered over the building four times as a possible cause for the collapse. His church also stated that the collapsed building was approved for 12-storey and as such, the structure was strong enough. It was on the strength of the controversy that the state government set up a panel to actually find out the cause of the collapse.

I wonder what would have happened if ONLY Nigerians haddied in this tragic incident. I doubt if a court case would have taken place.
For those condemning others to death for talking against a "man of God" do you really think TB Joshua is above the law because he states his occupation as a "Pastor?" Whether you are a pastor, reverend father, church aide, Bible reader, bishop, pope, evangelist etc - the title does not permit you to escape justice. And in Nigeria, this explains why "woman of God" was able to continue to murder innocent CHILDREN after branding them witches. It took a foriegn country to deport and ban her from their shores BEFORE Nigerians had the guts to speak out against her.
Let the court session commence and God willing the judge and jury WILL NOT BE Synagogue sympathisers or worse still MEMBERS!!!
