How did he manage to elude the sophisticated military run Schippol International in the Netherlands as sophisticated as claimed??? These are questions that beg the answer as the story unfold beyond philosophical rantings .. welcome " If its not for love - its for nothing "

This is a setback for the country of Nigeria and the peaceful Citizens of Nigeria. It is unfortunate that this attempt bombing incident should occur at a time when Nigeria desperately needs to clean its image from frauds and kidnap attempts. I confess that I browsed on some of the past comments and was stunned that some people were actually surprised that Farouk Mutallab’s bomb attempt incident was shocking to the country of Nigeria. WAKE UP people!!! Nigeria is a beloved country but it has been a terrorist country now for some time. It is only getting international attention because of it’s citizen involvement with the US jet. Honestly, have you not heard, read or seen terrorism in action in Nigeria. It does not necessarily mean someone blowing self up. I do not live in Nigeria to know about the terrorism clashes of Extremist Muslim killings of Christians, lootings, burning of churches, houses and businesses known to belong to other people of non Muslims. The Nigerian government failed it’s citizens by not aggressively protecting its citizens from these aggressions; the Muslims community dismissed these early warnings as only extremist youth Muslims angry and the parents of these Extremists looked the other way ignoring these signs so long as their own youths are the ones getting killed on the streets. Farouk Mutallab is the product of those progressive and ignored warnings of street riots and killings. He grew up and sought after those who think and act like himself who are willing to go further internationally. How do we know that he had not killed before? Who investigated and kept records of those bloodsheds in Nigeria? When we ask questions, we must be ready to embrace the truthful answers because they might hurt. Let us spend more time asking “What lessons that must be learned from the attempt bombing incident.” I love Nigerian people greatly to want to see Nigerian name and future brighter and better but Nigerians must begin to deal with the truth and the facts rather than living on denials. . …. Lucas J. @ Lucas . I see you share on this forum as very brilliant . what a beautiful Contribution to the topic . Well done thank you That is looking at terrorism from another dimension and you are making it clearer . Initially i couldnt see the connection but you have a great point out there . The government of Nigeria perhaps wasnt doing much to combat the existing religious extremism which appears to be escalating to higher heights As Nigerians we will be in good positions to suggest further ideas to help combat these shortcomings . Thats what democracy is all about and a hidden blessing of this recent sad incident of the farouk muttalab case " If its not for love - its for nothing "

See, your are mistaken about what happened to me by this person. Yes, I did want to help "her" but somehow, in our conversing, she managed to steal my identity and raid my accounts. I did not find out about it until well after the fact when I was unable to access my accounts and credit cards. And after dealing with it for almost a year, my strength and financial ability gave out vompletely and I was forced into bankruptcy just to save my home and my vehicle. I am equally aware that unauthorized credit card withdrawals are retrievable and even challengeable provided there is no direct authorization. A bizness patner might turn out to be fake after having retrieved a substantial portion of the bizness deal willingly given out . hmm quite frankly this amazes me. Reply@ RogerMellville Your credit card provider must have been deep asleep. When i used my credit card 3 times in a row in lagos on the same teller my credit card provider called me to ask who was using my card on that and that teller. They could tell me exactly where i was and what time. After they asked my details they told me they would have closed my account if it wouldnt have been me. How then can they just raid your account if you didnt give this person all your private details? You must have done so. You can help people yes but trust them with all your private details is a stupidity from your side.
