Football legend Samuel Eto'o came into Nigeria yesterday to honour Joseph Yobo in his testimonial match which took place in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. He came in his private jet and after playing in the match, Samuel Eto'o, who wanted to fly back immediately, was unable to do so as his private jet was not allowed to fly out. The Airport authority claimed he didn't have permission to land at the Port Harcourt airport and fined him. And according to a LIB source, after paying the fine, his plane was still not allowed to fly, up until late last night. As of 1am early this morning, government officials and friends of the footballer were still trying to get his plane to leave the airport.
I have been reporting for several years now and I am very interested in visual news reportage with strong inclusion of photos and video multimedia.

Its easy to criticize when you don't know the full picture... We are the same people that blame authorities for allowing insecurity in our nation we're the same people blaming them for doing their job.... These stars think they can do anything because they're rich... If u enter American soil without permission to land u automatically get yourself a minimum of 6 months in prison for first offence and 2 years for subsequent ones and with heavy fines... And your vehicle will be impounded permanently... And I'm sure somewhere in our Constitution it's similar and for him to have been able to get his plane back on time they must have pulled strings..... Criminals use stars a lot to do their dirty work because... They are seemingly untouchable... Let's not all have this African mentality that we shouldn't do what is right because someone has 300,000 followers on Instagram.... Eto is human and he has lawyers and I'm sure they are paid to tell him how to cope with the law.... Was he the only star to bring a private jet... Almost all the foreign players in that match did.... #change starts with us not buhari....

He has to pay landing fees na, because na famous footballer doesn't mean he's exempt from paying. At the end of the day the authorities were only doing there job..

But why should it take up to three hours for the Officials to discover the plane did not have permission to land. It's ridiculous to imagine this infraction was only discovered when the aircraft was about returning home.
