But every year the federal Govt. of Nigeria do have huge sum in the budget for Agricultural development especially located for the farmers in the North.
The question should be "Where do this money from the national budget located yearly for Agricultural development do go?

Its true they have the land savanna  grassland where a lot can be achieved through mechanized farming .  Very rich land and so many universities out there with faculties of Agriculture or even Mechanical Agric or Agric Engineering .   There is a specific allocation for Agric Ministry each year .   If individuals like Obasanjo can go into farming why not a whole state with all the might an no struggle for land as the land belongs to the state ???   These are questions that really freak me out to the core an indeed you are very right with this suggestion .
