Lagos Police Nabs Masquerades For Robbing Residents In Lagos (Photos)

The Lagos state police have arrested some masquerades for robbing and exhorting residents at the Elere area of Agege, Lagos.

According to the police officials, the masquerades were apprehended alongside other hoodlums for robbing members of the community and also causing breach of the peace in the area. Residents of the area were very happy when the police officials came to arrest them.

A resident who pleaded anonymity, said the masqueraders have tormented the area for a while now and nothing was done about it.
The police officials added the masquerades who were not backed by the traditional ruler in the area tried to attack the policemen during their arrest.

Ara orun kinkinkin, Egun ara orun ma se ewon ara aye.
For those who are blaming the police it's because you've not encounter the masquerade people before.  They cane you and harassed you for no reason. Good for them
